There are bishops in the Catholic Church that want us to believe that the sexual abuse crisis is behind us and that all the fences have been mended. But when a Cardinal in the church asks a victim to stay silent instead of going immediately to the authorities, it becomes readily apparent that little has changed. It is still more important to protect the honor and teaching authority of the hierarchy than to prevent child abuse. When will the majority of bishops realize that their silence and complicity in child abuse is ruining the honor and teaching authority of bishops.

Daneels was only "Papabile" in the dreams of progressive "Catholics" who wanted a rupture with the Catholic Magisterium and History.
Catholic Soldier, you just amaze me. It is clear you favor child sex abuse over 'hurting' the church. Incredible!!!
The Church has a long history of child sex abuse crimes. You take pride in that 'history?'
Mark:
You have a way of twisting people's words.
Mark you are truly a master at deceit, slander, and perjury.
Sadly, it's par for the course for you. It's just good to see that others recognize you for who you really are.
It is quite clear what CS is saying. I must assume you support him. Bring on the boys!!!!!!
CS always justifies any outrage by the clergy. After all the magisterium and the "history" are always supreme.
Mark,
I'm pretty sure I made a negative comment about Daneels. That would be indicative of the fact that I do not support him and that I do not think he was a good Bishop precisely because he was not faithful to the Church.
I wonder if you have ever stopped to look in the mirror at yourself and had the clarity to see just how ugly you have become.
CS, you just CAN'T give up letting the Church completely control your mind. Truly sad.
The Church is not about No, it is about a Yes. It's just so sad that you cannot see it.
Anon, what in the hell do you mean?
Mark,
I think what anon means is that the Church is really about a Yes, but many of her enemies and those who don't understand her believe it is about a No. Thus, someone like yourself fundamentally misunderstands Christ, the Church, and the Magisterium, because you view it in light of a No. It would only take someone about five minutes with you to realize that there is very little Catholicism in your identity.
CS, what you say means nothing. It's even worse than the "yes" and "no" comment. Try to analize your statement. You'll see it is nothing but words with no meaning.
BTW, you should be coplimented for trying to help anon. Even you, my friend, should be ashamed---but you did the best you could.
Gay sex and child sex is bad when priests do it, but good when queers not Catholic do it?
